ALBANY, NY (07/10/2007; 1412)(readMedia)-- readMedia, after a competitive application and interview process, announced today its roster of summer 2007 interns. Interships at readMedia are coveted by students for their rigor, responsibility, and the opportunity they offer to bright, ambitious undergrads.
At readMedia, innovation and a focus on fresh ideas means that even interns occupy senior roles on projects ranging from marketing to engineering. This summer readMedia has taken on three interns to help develop both the company's growth and success and the interns' understanding of marketing, engineering, and advertising in a real-world experience.
Rebecca Gellis will be joining readMedia for the summer as a marketing intern. Rebecca will enter her third year at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute this fall, where she is pursuing a degree in Management. While working for readMedia, Rebecca will be focusing on marketing research and campaigns.
Irving Zhang is a student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and will be entering his fourth and final year in the fall. He will graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Electronic Media, Arts and Communications with a minor in Marketing. Over the summer Irving will be working as a marketing intern and help to implement new features into readMedia's software.
Robert Clark is a third year Computer Science student at Rochester Institute of Technology. This summer Rob is working for readMedia as a programming intern, improving readMedia's already developed software and assisting with implementation of new features.
"I'm excited about this year's intern class," said Colin Mathews, President and CEO of readMedia. "It's the biggest class and most competitive process we've had so far. Rebecca, Irving and Rob are smart, motivated and will be doing meaningful work for us. Heck, Rebecca and Irving are my marketing department right now."
