The Eliot purchased the community from Dr. Stephen and Suzanne Menkes who have operated the home from its inception. The Eliot at Catskill is a 99-unit assisted living community licensed by the New York State Department of Health. The group expects to enhance and upgrade the property and services offered at the facility.
"We are excited about this community and believe it is the perfect addition to The Eliot family" said Eric Newhouse, The Eliot's President. This acquisition follows The Eliot's integrated approach of selectively acquiring and managing well-located, assisted living and adult care communities throughout the Capital and Hudson Valley Region. The Eliot intends to acquire additional senior living communities in these geographic regions.
Neil Zelman, CEO of The Eliot Management Group, added "The provision of quality senior care is what we love to do. We are proud to add the Eliot at Catskill to our portfolio. We thank the Menkes's for all their efforts over the years and we welcome them as our guests anytime. The community will miss them as they plan their own retirement."
