Wilbraham's Conor Lomas Honored at Western New England College

SPRINGFIELD, MA (06/03/2010)(readMedia)-- Conor Lomas of Wilbraham took home five awards during Western New England College's 8th annual Student Media Festival. Lomas won first place in both the juried competition and the people's choice judging in the music video category; first place in the people's choice judging and second place from the jury in the TV commercial/public service announcement category; and a third place in the people's choice judging for a second entry in the TV commercial/PSA category. Lomas is a junior majoring in Communication at the College.

The Student Media Festival was created to provide students a venue to display their works to fellow students, faculty, staff, and the public so that students can be recognized for their successes in creating quality films and videos over the past year.

Western New England College is a private, independent, coeducational institution founded in 1919. Located on an attractive 215-acre suburban campus in Springfield, Massachusetts, the College serves 3,700 students, including 2,500 full-time undergraduate students. Undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs are offered through the College's Schools of Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, and Law.
