2015 Elmore Whitehurst Award for Excellence in Learning

Megan Batey, of Canyon Lake, Texas, received the 2015 Elmore Whitehurst Award for Excellence in Learning. The Hatton W. Sumners Foundation established this annual award for a student graduating with a bachelor's degree who wants to continue on to graduate school in their field. It carries with it a scholarship from the foundation. Batey was presented with the award at Schreiner's commencement on May 9.
