22 Cazenovia College Freshmen Inducted into National Academic Honor Society

Twenty-two Cazenovia College freshmen are the newest inductees in the College's chapter of Alpha Lamba Delta, the national honor society that recognizes high academic achievement in the first year of college studies.

To be eligible for membership, students must earn a cumulative GPA of 3.50 in the first semester or in their first year as a full-time student.

The society was founded in 1924 and has headquarters in Fairport, New York. Cazenovia College has had a chapter since 2006. The national society annually awards numerous scholarships. It aims for "first year success" for college freshmen by encouraging superior academic achievement among students in their first year of studies at institutions of higher education, promoting intelligent living and a continued high standard of learning, and assisting students in recognizing and developing meaningful goals for their roles in society.
