3.0-Mile Section of Canalway Trail in Towns of Ridgeway and Gaines Has Been Reopened

ALBANY, NY (09/11/2009)(readMedia)-- The New York State Canal Corporation today announced a 3.0-mile section of Canalway Trail from the Knowlesville Lift Bridge in the Town of Ridgeway, Orleans County, to the Eagle Harbor Lift Bridge in the Town of Gaines, Orleans County, has been reopened for public use. The trail was closed on September 9, 2009, in order for embankment repairs to be made.

The Canal Corporation appreciates the public's patience while the repairs were made.
