The 41st Annual Juried Art Exhibition at Lebanon Valley College opens April 6.

ANNVILLE, PA (03/20/2012)(readMedia)-- The Suzanne H. Arnold Art Gallery is proud to showcase the art of the region in the 41st Annual Juried Art Exhibition at Lebanon Valley College. The deadline for submission is March 24; the show opens with an April 6 reception and awards ceremony from 5 to 7 p.m.

This LVC tradition will feature a variety of paintings, drawings, sculpture, assemblage and photographs. The show is comprised of work submitted by artists around the LVC community. Artists in the show tend to come from locations within a two hour radius of the campus, but other participants from distant locations do submit work.

There are no restrictions on what type of work is submitted, but there are other requirements. All pieces must be actual physical works for the juror to view, and a maximum of four works per artist can be submitted. All pieces sent in must have been completed within the last two years, and work submitted in previous LVC juried exhibitions is not eligible. Artists also have a $15 entry fee per submitted work.

This year's juror is Brant Schuller, professor of art at Millersville University. Every year the juror is different with individuals selected from institutions and about an hour or less from Annville. Prior to the show's opening, the juror takes as much time as needed to sift through the various works and make his or her selection.

For more information or to submit entries online, visit the Juried Art Exhibition website: www.lvc.edu/gallery.

Gallery hours are Wednesdays from 5 to 8 p.m.; Thursdays and Fridays from 1 to 4:30 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and by appointment for groups. Schools and other organizations are encouraged to contact the Gallery for a guided visit. The Juried Art Exhibition closes April 22.
