'A Streetcar Named Desire' Opens at SUNY Potsdam's Performing Arts Center

The cast of “A Streetcar Named Desire” rehearses at SUNY Potsdam’s Performing Arts Center. The show will run from March 24 to 29, in the Black Box Theater.

POTSDAM, NY (03/23/2015)(readMedia)-- SUNY Potsdam's Department of Theatre and Dance will open its production of "A Streetcar Named Desire" by Tennessee Williams this week.

Starring a cast of talented students, the classic Pulitzer Prize-winning drama is directed by Dr. Jay Pecora, with settings by Todd P. Canedy and lighting by Don Borsh.

Performances will run from Tuesday, March 24 to Saturday, March 28, with shows at 7:30 p.m., followed by a matinee at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 29. "A Streetcar Named Desire" will be presented in the Black Box Theater in SUNY Potsdam's Performing Arts Center.

The cast includes both graduating seniors (Miles Willow as Stanley) and first-year students (Emily Reagen as Stella). Other actors include: Claire Ignatuk as Blanche Dubois, Raymond Weber as Mitch, James Gillick as Steve, Courtney Butler as Eunice, Felicia Thompson as Woman/Nurse, Sean Sansevere as Pablo and Patrick Downs as Young Collector/Doctor.
