DANVILLE, KY (11/02/2010)(readMedia)-- Abby Woehrle of Peoria, Az., formerly of Louisville, a senior at Centre College, was interviewed by Norwegian television news at the Rally to Restore Sanity/Keep Fear Alive in Washington, D.C. on October 30.
The rally, hosted by Comedy Central talk show hosts Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, drew an estimated 215,000 people from around the world. Woehrle, the president of Centre Democrats, was asked to share with viewers her reason for attending the rally, as was her counterpart, Centre College senior Greg Brooks of Rochester Hills, Mich., president of Centre Republicans.
Woehrle is the daughter of Brenda Schmidt of Peoria and Bob Woehrle of Louisville and is a graduate of Dupont Manual High School.
