SUMMERDALE, PA (07/03/2012)(readMedia)-- Abigail Schoener, of Williamsport, Pa., has been selected as the Central Penn College Student of the Month for June. Schoener is a physical therapist assistant student who began her Central Penn career as a traditional student in the summer term of 2011 and is slated to graduate during the spring term of 2013.

In the time she has spent at Central Penn, Schoener has accumulated vast knowledge within her desired career field from different professors, she says. Two professors, in particular, have affected her greatly through the terms she has been on campus.

"I really appreciate Dr. Nicole Patterson and Professor Jeannie Bower," says Schoener. "They taught me the foundational and basic skills I need to be effective in my field. I can already see that the knowledge they imparted upon me is knowledge that will grow quickly with experience."

"Abby is a delight to have in class," shares Patterson. "She always presents herself in a professional manner, and although soft-spoken, serves as a role model for her classmates. She consistently has one of the highest GPAs in the class, and is always punctual with turning in assignments and projects. Abby is also very active in the PTA Club, volunteering her time and talents for various activities throughout the term."
