Wheaton freshman Abygale Ahn has been named the CCIW Women's Tennis Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon. For Ahn, this is the first weekly conference honor of her career.
Ahn posted an overall record of 3-1 last week on Wheaton's annual spring trip. Ahn won both of her matches at number five singles, posting a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Lily Brandt of Saint Mary's (Ind.) and a 6-0, 6-3 victory over Morgan Jenkins of Millsaps. With the two singles victories, Ahn wraps up her season with an unblemished 17-0 record in singles play. She also posted an 8-6 victory over Saint Mary's at number one doubles along with Claire Browning.
