Adam Hester Part of Winning Mock Trial Team

A Creighton University mock trial team placed second at the Thunderbird Open held Nov. 12 and 13, at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. Another Creighton team placed 6th overall at the competition in a three-way tie.

Two Creighton students, seniors Adam Hester, San Ramon, Calif., and Stephan Waters, Omaha, Neb., won "Best Attorney" awards.

The Creighton University Mock Trial Students' Association is an organization that promotes leadership, professionalism, outstanding academic achievement and high ethical standards for students, the university and the community through competitive mock trial as provided by the American Mock Trial Association. The organization allowsstudents who are interested in courtroom procedure to express themselves creatively, develop leadership skills and prepare for a career in the legalfield while enjoying opportunities for social interaction and bonding.
