Addressing Hardship and Hope Through Film

Megan Frieling is not afraid to tackle life's most challenging topics. Through film, she addresses life's toughest issues, including loneliness, depression, suicide and social pressure, while weaving in the hope of Christ.

Frieling, who is studying broadcasting, digital media and journalism at Cedarville University, believes that faith-based films are rising in popularity and that now is her opportunity to showcase her faith by telling stories of hope during difficult times. The junior from Cedarville, Ohio, is already making her mark as a young filmmaker. She produced the short film "Centennial," which won Cedarville's Elliv film competition last year. Her portfolio covers a range of genres, from lighthearted comedies to more serious, thought-provoking films.
