Aidan Goldston earns Oglethorpe University Male Athlete of the Week

Sophomore Aidan Goldston of the Oglethorpe men's cross country team has been named the Oglethorpe Male Athlete of the Week. A Business Administration major, Goldston is a graduate of Henry W. Grady High School in Atlanta.

Goldston beat his previous 8-kilometer personal best by 29 seconds at the Berry Invitational on Saturday, leading his team to a runner-up finish at the meet. He recorded a time of 26 minutes, 19 seconds and finished in ninth. He helped the Petrels to the best SAA finish at the meet as they bested three other conference programs.

He and the rest of the Petrels will now get set for the SAA Cross Country Championships back at the same course in Mount Berry on November 2.
