WASHINGTON, D.C (02/19/2015)(readMedia)-- New York Air National Guard Master Sgt. Kimberly Carmody, a Lake George resident, is congratulated by Marine Corps Sgt. Major Bryan Battaglia, the senior enlisted advisor to General Martin Dempsey, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, during a conference held at the National Defense University at Fort McNair in Washington, D.C. on Feb. 13, 2015.

Carmody, who is assigned to Air National Guard headquarters in Latham, was responsible for organizing and administering the week-long Air National Guard Chief's Executive Course which was held at Fort McNair. The course was designed to educate Air National Guard Command Chief Master Sergeants, the highest ranking enlisted personnel in the Air National Guard.

Battaglia, a speaker at the event, took time to thank Carmody and another administrative non-commissioned officer for the work they put in on this training activity.

Carmody, serves as both a human resources specialist and as an administrative assistant to Major General Verle Johnston, the commander of the New York Air National Guard. She joined the 105th Airlift Wing at Stewart Air National Guard Base in Newburgh in 1995 and has served at New York Air National Guard Headquarters since 2010.
