MILLERSVILLE, PA (06/10/2014)(readMedia)-- Alaric Gallo, Bala Cynwyd, Pa., has been selected to receive the Richard S. Levandusky '58 Technology Education Scholarship. Gallo will graduate from Harriton High School and will attend Millersville University of Pennsylvania this fall to study towards his Bachelor of Science in technology education.
The Richard S. Levandusky '58 Technology Education Scholarship is a non-renewable award valued at $1000. It is to be distributed in equal amounts of $500.00 for each of the first two semesters if the recipient continues to pursue technology education as the major area of study and continues to make progress in the major and required related courses.
Gallo graduated near the top of his class while completing several courses at honors level, including African/Asian studies, concert band, astronomy, geology, United States government, modern and contemporary literature and math analysis/trigonometry. He was in the band throughout high school and was active in his church youth group. He was a leader in the Technology Student Association, serving as a local chapter officer since the middle of 10th grade, spending time as secretary, treasurer and vice president.
