Albuquerque Native Presents at Murdock Conference

WALLA WALLA, WA (11/19/2012)(readMedia)-- Albuquerque native Jeremy Schofield recently presented his research on the enzyme PcpA at the annual Murdock College Science Research Conference, which took place at Whitman College this year. More than 400 students and faculty from colleges throughout the Northwest gathered for the conference, and students presented results from research they had conducted at their home institutions, summer internships or elsewhere. He conducted research with at the University of Rochester, and is continuing research at Whitman College with Dr. Timothy Machonkin.
Schofield is the son of Ernest Schofield and Jana Lee Aspin from Albuquerque. He is a 2010 graduate of Albuquerque Academy.
At Whitman, Schofield is a junior biophysics, biochemistry and molecular biology major, and he is also a Resident Assistant for a freshman dorm.
