Allandale resident Samantha Linder wins outstanding student achievement awards at Connecticut College

NEW LONDON, CT (05/12/2011)(readMedia)-- Samantha Linder, a senior at Connecticut College, was awarded the Senior Biology Prize, which is given to a senior for excellence in biology offered by the biology department, and the Dr. Joseph Nunes Pereira Memorial Prize, for excellence in biochemistry. Linder was presented with the awards at the annual Honors and Awards ceremony at Connecticut College on April 27.

Linder, a graduate of Northern Highlands Regional High School, is the daughter of Mark and Eleanora Linder of Allendale.

At the ceremony, Timo V. Ovaska, Hans and Ella McCollum '21 Vahlteich Professor of Chemistry, gave the keynote address. Dean of the College Community Armando Bengochea and Dean of the Faculty Roger Brooks also congratulated the students.
