CENTER VALLEY, PA (10/10/2012)(readMedia)-- On September 29, Allentown resident Amanda Fabrizio was awarded the DeSales University Young Alumni Service Award during the school's 2012 Homecoming Weekend.
The Young Alumni Achievement Award recognizes alumni who graduated within the last 10 years and who has given extraordinary service to the University while leading a life that reflects the ideals of St. Francis de Sales.
Fabrizio, who graduated from DeSales in 2007, works at Lehigh University as a communications specialist in the Industrial Systems Engineering Department, and she is pursing her master's of education in educational leadership. She is president of the Rotary Club of Saucon and is a DeSales class agent and chair for the Class of 2007 reunion and gift committee.
DeSales University, in Center Valley, Pa., is a private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts university affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church. Founded by the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales in 1965, the 480-acre suburban campus is located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and about 90 miles south of New York City. A total enrollment of nearly 3,000 includes undergraduate day and evening students and graduate students. DeSales has approximately 100 full-time faculty members and offers more than 35 bachelor's degrees and seven graduate programs in a wide range of disciplines.
