Alpine Audio Art Aficionados Win State Fair Awards

DES MOINES, IA (08/19/2019) (readMedia)-- 73-year old Ken Frette of Story City claimed the Yodeling championship contested Thursday, at the 2019 Iowa State Fair.

Sue Gustafsen of Des Moines claimed second place and Chad Sommars of Colfax earned third place.

Deanna Wright of Colfax and Ann Hegstrom of DeSoto tied for fourth place.

Entrants were challenged to perform either two short award worthy tunes or a melody lasting no longer than three minutes.
