MILLERSVILLE, PA (05/16/2011)(readMedia)-- Amanda J. Schadler of Lancaster, Pa., has been selected to receive the Iliffe/McCaskey Endowed Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to a first year student entering higher education or returning to school.
Schadler will attend Millersville this fall and will major in English. After graduating from Brandywine Heights High School, she was enrolled at the Word of Life Bible Institute in New York and also earned transferrable credits from Harrisburg Area Community College. Schadler was last enrolled at Millersville in summer 2010 and is returning to her studies this fall as a part-time student, living off-campus.
The Iliffe/McCaskey Endowed Scholarship is made through the generosity of Dr. Patrick McCaskey, professor of business administration, and his wife Vanessa Iliffe. It is designated for a first year student, with preference given to a female, degree-seeking candidate with the intent of assisting a non-traditional student. It is a non-renewable award of $107.
