CAZENOVIA, NY (07/03/2012)(readMedia)-- Cazenovia College, an undergraduate liberal arts college in Central New York, honored the class of 2012 on May 12, 2012.

Amanda J. Sammons, of Saint Johnsville, N.Y., received a bachelor of fine arts degree, magna cum laude, in visual communications. She was also on the spring semester Dean's List.

Sammons was a member of the College's Visual Rebellion Club, the Ski and Snowboarding Club, and the Film Society. She was also a cast member of the Cazenovia College Drama Club's production of Rocky Horror Picture Show. Her visual design work has been exhibited in the Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall.

She has been a volunteer at Wanderer's Rest Animal Shelter in Canastota, N.Y., "giving the dogs the love and attention they need, such as walking, grooming and some basic behavioral training," she says. She is also a proud American Red Cross blood donor.

Sammons' ultimate goal is to be a web designer, but she is now looking for more general employment in the advertising field. She says, "Because I decided not to attend graduate school, this will allow me to take the basic knowledge and experience I gained from my professors at Cazenovia, and continue the learning process in a real world setting. I am also very open to freelance work."

Sammons' work and resume may be viewed at www.amandasammons.com.
