"America's Mayor" to Campaign For Candidate Lee Zeldin
Giuliani to Keynote Zeldin Fall Campaign Kickoff on Saturday
PATCHOGUE, NY (09/22/2008)(readMedia)-- "America's Mayor," Rudy Giuliani, will venture to New York's First Congressional District to headline the Fall Campaign Kickoff of the candidacy of Lee Zeldin, the Republican and Conservative Party candidate, for the Eastern Long Island district.
The event is set for Saturday afternoon in the Southampton hamlet of Noyack.
"As we enter the final stage of this high-energy campaign, I'm thrilled to welcome a living legend to the District," said Zeldin. "The support of one of our party's leaders adds to the enthusiasm we've seen throughout the district, at exactly the right time."
Known for his steadfast leadership of New York City during the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, Mayor Rudy Giuliani earned a reputation for his no-nonsense leadership during some of our nation's darkest hours. Running a campaign focusing on his national security credentials and legal experience, Zeldin sees strong parallels between himself and Giuliani.
"We both have time serving as federal prosecutors, and both bring strong anti-terrorism and national security credentials to the table," said Zeldin. "I will be glad to include Mayor Giuliani as one of my trusted advisors after we win in November and have the opportunity to serve in Congress."
Members of the press are invited to attend the event free of charge. Please contact the Zeldin campaign at 631-772-1070 in order to be added to the media guest list.
