ST. MARY'S CITY, MD (06/14/2013)(readMedia)-- St. Mary's College of Maryland announces that Ruth Feingold, native of Ann Arbor, MI, has been promoted to Professor of English. Feingold joined the St. Mary's faculty in 1999. She holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Chicago and teaches courses in the Department of English, Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Asian Studies and the Nitze Scholars Program. Since 2009, she has been an administrator in the Office of Academic Services and the Core Curriculum.
St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
