CAZENOVIA, NY (03/21/2012)(readMedia)-- The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall will host the annual Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibitions from March 13 through May 1. The exhibition will include work by visual communications, studio art, photography and interior design degree candidates from Cazenovia College's Division of Art and Design.

Annalis Kaminski, of Caledonia, N.Y., is majoring in studio art, specializing in photography. She will exhibit her work from April 12 to 15, with a reception on April 12 at 6 p.m. in the gallery.

Kaminski graduated from Caledonia-Mumford High School in 2008. After attending Genesee Community College for two years, she transferred to Cazenovia College to continue her studies in photography. Having grown up in the countryside surrounded by a family and close friends who loved hunting, she decided to pursue nature photography and take it a step further by documenting all the aspects of hunting. Her photographs support hunting and all of its benefits for the environment. Kaminski will graduate in May 2012, and hopes to have a career in wildlife or sports photography.

In her artist's statement, Kaminski writes, "I've been surrounded by a hunting family my whole life. The stereotype of a hunter being violent and a wildlife-hater should be proven wrong. Facts from wildlife experts and naturalists prove otherwise. In fact, hunters are more connected with nature and wildlife than those who are non-hunters. The goal of my photography is show all aspects of hunting and that it is something that should be morally accepted by all. I support the sport of hunting and those who do it properly and humanely. My photographs will reveal what may not seem to be the typical hunter."

The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall, 6 Sullivan St., is on the corner of Sullivan and Seminary streets in Cazenovia. Hours during the academic year are: Monday through Thursday, 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; Friday, 1-4 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 2-6 p.m. Summer hours vary.
