Annalise A. Madison Elected to Omicron Delta Kappa at Washington and Lee University

LEXINGTON, VA (01/24/2013)(readMedia)-- Annalise A. Madison of Roca, Neb., a junior at Washington and Lee University, has been elected to Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership fraternity for men and women.

Madison was "tapped" during the annual Founder's Day/ODK Convocation at W&L on Friday, Jan. 18.

Madison, a politics and history major, is a Johnson Scholar, an Owings Honor Fellow and a member of Phi Eta Sigma honor society. She interned at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington and received a Johnson Opportunity Grant to teach math, English, science and computer skills at a primary school in Ghana. As an athlete, she has earned numerous distinctions: team captain, All-ODAC (Old Dominion Athletic Conference) and All-Region for cross-country; All-ODAC and team MVP for track. She was named to the ODAC Sportmanship Team and holds the school record for the indoor 800-meter run. She belongs to SAAC, chairs the Student Body Constitutional Review Committee, contributed to the W&L Politcal Review, tutors at Waddell Elementary School and belongs to Pi Beta Phi sorority. 

Founded at Washington and Lee in 1914, Omicron Delta Kappa recognizes superior leadership among students in various aspects of campus and community life.
