New Campaign to help stop gun violence in Albany

ALBANY, NY (07/22/2024) (readMedia)-- Pastor Charlie of Victory Church will announce new plan to help curve gun violence in the city of Albany. This will include donations to 6 nonprofits working in the city helping city youth with programs steering them away from crime.

Gun Buyback will be announced and a new building project at 31 Vly Rd will be announced with a gym and food pantry and help with child care before and after school helping struggling families.

Scott Earl former owner of Twin Bridges and voted businessman of the year who presented Victory with a large check to start this campaign. Pastor Charlie will present checks to the 6 nonprofits and thank Scott Earl for investing in small non profits making a difference.

District Attorney David Soares will partner with Victory's new Campaign and Gun Buy Back 100 Dollars for non registered hand guns and 200 Dollars for every Ghost Gun. Announcement will be made outlining plans in working with youth programs. Twenty new pairs of Nike sneakers will be given to the non profits getting checks for their programs. Over 10,000 dollars will be awarded to these non profits. They will be their to receive awards.

Where: 31 Vly Rd Capital Church Victory just closed on this new site for project. Allowing the Capital Church to remain for a short period while all expansion plans are being approved.

Who: Pastor Charlie, Scott Earl, David Soares and leaders of Albany non profits being awarded.

This will be the most aggressive plan to help stop violence in the city. Highlighting small non profits doing big things in the city.
