Artist Deborah Beck at the Landis Arboretum for Weeklong Session

ESPERANCE, NY (07/23/2007)(readMedia)-- LANDSCAPE PAINTING, August 13 – 17, 9:30 am-12:30 pm (Monday - Friday)

Established artist Deborah Beck invites those of all levels to explore the joys of landscape painting amidst the beautiful natural settings and vistas of the Landis Arboretum, using water based paints, watercolor, gouache, acrylic, or oils (for those with their own easel).

Ms. Beck will demonstrate how to analyze and compose each scene for initial sketches and how to build up colors and forms. Additional topics may include color mixing, texture, brushwork, shape, line, and value. Class participants will paint at several sites in the Arboretum. Supply list will be furnished upon registration. Register by August 3. $80 members, $100 non-members.

About the Arboretum

The Landis Arboretum is a multifaceted gem along the Route 20 Scenic Corridor between Albany and Skaneateles. Landis is central to the New York State Wine and Spa Trails, and in close proximity to historic Sharon Springs.
