Artist Karen Todd to Exhibit at Genesee's Albion Campus

ALBION, NY (04/06/2009)(readMedia)-- Genesee Community College is pleased to continue to host art exhibits throughout the spring months at the Albion Campus Center. The exhibit, "Acrylic Perspectives in Color" by artist Karen Todd will run from April 9- April 29 and will feature a variety of acrylic paintings which will include landscapes, portraits and abstracts. Karen Todd is an adjunct art faculty member who teaches Drawing 1 & 2, Painting 1& 2, Introduction to Visual Art, and 2-Dimensional Design for the College. An artist's reception is planned for April 9 from 5:00 - 6:00 PM.

An Albion Campus Student Art Show will take place from April 30-May 14, with a reception on April 30 from 5:00 - 6:00 PM. The Albion Campus Student Art Show features the work of students currently enrolled in Karen Todd's Painting 1 & 2 and Intro to Visual Art Classes. The works displayed will feature a variety of mixed media.

The last event, "Nocturnal Landscapes" by artist Arthur Barnes opens May 26 with an artist's reception on June 4 from 5:00 PM- 6:00 PM. This exhibit features new water color paintings by local artist Arthur Barnes.

"This is an excellent time to showcase the talents of our faculty and students," Allen Kidder, associate dean of the Albion Campus Center said. "We have a wealth of talent in our community and the Albion Campus is a great resource to bring faculty, students and community members together."
