Portrait Honoring Fallen Marine LCpl. Abraham Simpson to Be Unveiled to His Family During a Special Ceremony
CHINO HILLS, CA (02/04/2011)(readMedia)-- Artist Phil Taylor, founder of The American Fallen Soldiers Project, will be presenting the portrait of local fallen Marine LCpl. Abraham Simpson to his parents, Jim and Maria Simpson, as well as his brother, Cpl. Paul Simpson, during a special ceremony being held at Calvary Chapel Chino Hills.
LCpl. Abraham Simpson, 19 years old, was killed in combat on November 9, 2004 in Anbar Province, Iraq, during the U.S. assault on Fallujah. Although young in years, Abe left a legacy of honor, strength, and service to others. His goal of "being one of the best" was attained when he joined the Marines just before graduating high school.
His desire to share his faith with his infantry comrades, was a priority. Upon departing for Iraq, he shared with his family that "if anyone was to die, it would be better if it was him, because he was prepared to meet his God."

About Phil Taylor and The American Fallen Soldiers Project
The American Fallen Soldiers Project was formed to help provide comfort and healing to the mourning families of our fallen military men and women by providing, at no cost, an original portrait of their fallen loved one that fully captures their appearance and personality. When completed, each portrait is personally presented to the family by the artist, Phil Taylor, during a special ceremony. The combined effect of the portrait, personal presentation, and relationship that has been established between the family and the artist, helps provide them a new hope and genuine feeling that their fallen hero has returned home.
