Artists Decorate Corn Baskets for the 2024 Concrete Statue Contest

DES MOINES, IA (08/11/2024) (readMedia)-- Artists from across the state put their creativity to the test in the Iowa State Fair concrete statue contest, judged prior to the start of the 2024 Iowa State Fair.

Artists were tasked with creating an award-winning, theme-painted, concrete bushel basket of corn. The concrete statues are on display in various locations throughout the Fairgrounds from August 8-18, 2024.

Statues were judged on originality, creativity and overall look.
