Ashland University Student Participated in Annual Ohio Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Conference

ASHLAND, OH (04/01/2013)(readMedia)-- Lynda Romer, of Elyria, OH, was one of 11 Ashland University students to participate in the 104th annual Ohio Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Conference. The conference was held March 22-23 at the Salt Fork State Park Lodge and Conference Center in Cambridge, OH.

Romer is a 2008 graduate of Rocky River High School and is majoring in child and family studies at Ashland University.

The Ohio chapter is an affiliate of the American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences (AAFCS). The mission of the AAFCS is to provide leadership and support for professionals whose work assists individuals, families, and communities in making informed decisions about their well-being, relationships, and resources to achieve optimal quality of life. There is also a student chapter of AAFCS/OAFCS.

After the conference concluded on Saturday, the group took to the trails of Salt Fork State Park and hiked through the Pine Crest Loop and Hosak's Cave.
