ASHLAND, OH (04/15/2013)(readMedia)-- Ashland University Faculty members and students from the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science recently attended the Spring Meeting of the Ohio Section of the Mathematical Association of America at Denison University.
Megan Raber was one of six Ashland University students to participate in the annual Leo Schneider Student Team Competition.
Raber of Creston, OH participated in the competition. She is the daughter of James and Tammy Raber of Creston. Raber is a 2010 graduate of Norwayne High School and is majoring in integrated mathematics at Ashland University.
Raber also presented a contributed talk at the meeting. Raber's talk was titled ""Decimal Expansions Involving Fibonacci Numbers."
Faculty members that attended the spring meeting were Dr. Cathy Stoffer, Associate Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science, Dr. Christopher Swanson, Associate Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science and Director of Honors Program, Dr. Vickie Van Dresar, Associate Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science, and Dr. Darren Wick, Chair and Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science.
