CAZENOVIA, NY (04/07/2011)(readMedia)-- The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall will host exhibitions of work by seniors in its Art and Design classes.
Ashley E. Fess is a senior from Whitesboro, N.Y., who is majoring in interior design. Fess chose a piece of her artwork to display, rather than an interior design rendering. The show runs from April 18 - 24, with an artists' reception on April 19 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall, 6 Sullivan St., is on the corner of Sullivan and Seminary streets in Cazenovia. Hours during the academic year are: Monday through Thursday, 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; Friday, 1-4 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 2-6 p.m. Summer hours vary.
She writes of her work, "When describing my interior design style I cannot say that I have a set way of doing things. After receiving new projects I am always open minded to working with a new design scheme. The client, location, and function of the space will alter the way I perceive the final project. During my educational career many designs have come into play; such as a modern exhibition booth with sleek finishes and high-tech electronics, all the way to an eco-friendly advertising agency with non-distracting and calming colors. My designs are pieces of art, each space evolving from blank canvas to a functioning work of creativity."
