HOBBS, NM (05/24/2011)(readMedia)-- Ashley Fitzpatrick of San Angelo, TX, recently signed a letter of intent to play volleyball for University of the Southwest in Hobbs, NM.
A Central High School graduate, Fitzpatrick has earned several honors including receiving First Team All District, Academic All District, and Academic All State.
A right side/outside hitter, Fitzpatrick at 5'10" promises to make an impact for the USW Lady Mustangs right away. "Ashley is an awesome student-athlete," said Sonya Petroski, head women's volleyball coach. "She knows what it takes to excel on and off the court."
USW is New Mexico's only fully-accredited Christ-centered university in New Mexico. USW offers on-campus and online undergraduate and fully online graduate degree programs. USW is celebrating its 50th anniversary (1962-2012) and is leading the way into the next 50 years.
