HAMDEN, CT (05/06/2013)(readMedia)-- Ashley Kopacki, of Hackettstown, N.J., won multiple awards at Quinnipiac University's senior award ceremony on April 27.
The first award, the Aurea C. Schoonmaker Spanish Award, is in honor of Professor Aurea C. Schoonmaker's 43 years of exemplary teaching at Quinnipiac, this prize is awarded to the senior Spanish major in the College of Arts and Sciences with the highest grade point average.
The second, the Outstanding Achievement in Public Relations award, is presented to a graduating senior from the public relations program in the School of Communications who has shown academic achievement, made significant contributions to the program, campus life and/or shown excellent leadership qualities on campus.
The third, the award for the highest grade point average in the School of Communications, is presented to graduating seniors with the highest grade point average, who also have made significant contributions to the program, campus life and have shown excellent leadership qualities on campus.
The fouth, the School of Communications Overall Achievement Award, is presented to a graduating senior from the communications program who has shown high academic achievement, made significant contributions to the program, campus life and/or shown excellent leadership qualities on campus.
In addition, Kopacki was presented with the Outstanding Senior Award which is given to seniors who have distinguished themselves by their service, dedication and contribution to the University.
Lastly, Kopacki was named to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. This prestigious award is given to students who are outstanding in scholarship and leadership.
The senior awards ceremony is held annually and serves to honor Quinnipiac seniors in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, character, community service and contributions to the university community.
