CAZENOVIA, NY (03/29/2012)(readMedia)-- The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall is hosting the annual Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibitions through May 1. The exhibition includes work by visual communications, studio art, photography and interior design degree candidates from Cazenovia College's Division of Art and Design.

Ashley N. Deyo, of Windsor, N.Y., a studio art major at Cazenovia College, is specializing in photography, with a minor in business management. Her exhibition, from April 16 through 20, opens with a reception from 4 to 6 p.m., on April 16.

Deyo is a photographic artist whose first solo exhibition is titled "Community Character." Deyo has had numerous commissions for her work, including Annie's Bar & Grill in Windsor, and has a self-published book titled "Living the Bar Life" (blurb.com). Deyo says that "Character Unposed" will not be her only exhibition, as she is excited to present her work as an emerging artist.

Deyo writes in her artist's statement, "My work focuses on exploring the human personality and how unique characteristics can be presented through photographic means. 'Character Unposed' is an exhibition that focuses solely on the personalities of my own community, where I have spent my entire life. Because of this, this specific community has been the strongest influence on my ideas about individuals. This interest has led me to present my original source of inspiration into a body of work that serves to demonstrate individual personalities through a series of close-up, tight framed, candid portraits."
