Atlanta Resident Carolina Duque Selected to Attend the 2013 Meeting of Clinton Global Initiative University

ATLANTA, GA (05/17/2013)(readMedia)-- Atlanta resident Carolina Duque was among four students selected to represent Oglethorpe University at the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI-U).

Founded by President Clinton, CGI-U meets annually to bring together emerging young student leaders with youth organizations, topic experts and celebrities to discuss and develop innovative solutions to pressing global challenges.The meeting was held April 5-7, 2013 at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.

Duque, a business administration major, is a native of Colombia. She was selected to attend in recognition of founding the nonprofit Mas Luz, which provides services and aid to women in Colombia who have been mentally and physically abused.
