MILLERSVILLE, PA (05/30/2014)(readMedia)-- Aubryn L. Johnson, Milton, Pa., has been selected to receive the D. Luke and Elva W. Biemesderfer Scholarship from Millersville University. Johnson will graduate from Milton Area High School and will attend Millersville University of Pennsylvania this fall to study towards his Bachelor of Science in Education in Spanish.
The D. Luke and Elva W. Biemesderfer Scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman majoring in foreign language, awarded on the basis of excellence in scholarship and leadership potential. The scholarship is for $1000.
While in high school, Johnson was active in all of the school musicals and a member of the Drama Club from ninth through 12th grades. He was a two-year member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society, completing a solid college preparatory load of courses which included honors-level English, anatomy and physiology and Advanced Placement language and composition. Johnson participated in the Show Choir in 11th and 12th grades and was a member of the Golf Team during his junior year. He was also active in his church youth group throughout high school, and participated in two mission trips to Honduras.
