Audi of Nashua Earns Fifth Magna Society Award
New Hampshire Audi Dealership Lauded for Superior Sales and Customer Service
NASHUA, N.H. (03/28/2012)(readMedia)-- Audi has presented Audi of Nashua with a 2011 Magna Society award, honoring the New Hampshire Audi dealership for its strong sales performance and high-quality customer service. Audi of Nashua stood out as one of the best Audi dealerships in a year when the automaker saw record sales and an increased presence in the luxury-vehicle market.
Induction into the Magna Society involves more than just above-average sales numbers. It also requires a solid financial foundation and high customer-satisfaction ratings, as well as facilities and staff that exemplify Audi's brand and culture. Audi awarded Magna Society status to 106 dealerships this year, and 2011 is the fifth year that Audi of Nashua has earned the distinction.
"We're happy about the sales numbers that helped us earn this award, but we're more pleased to be recognized for providing customers with superior Audi sales and service experiences," said Larry Bedell, general manager of Audi of Nashua. "Audi recognizes that being a great Audi dealer is not just about moving cars; it's about making a customer's visit as pleasant as a ride in an Audi."
Audi dealerships saw their best year of sales ever in the United States in 2011, with a 15.7-percent increase compared to the year prior, and sales are off to a fast start for 2012 as well. The automaker recently posted record February sales, marking Audi's 14th-consecutive record-setting sales month. Year-over-year, February sales increased 10 percent, contributing to Audi's 14.9-percent year-to-date growth.
Individual Audi models in popular segments excelled in February as well, with sales of the 2012 Audi A6 luxury sedan surging 63.6 percent compared to February 2011. New Audi A3 and TT models also saw increases of 21.5 percent and 15.2 percent, respectively. The used car market proved attractive for Audi buyers as well, as Audi Certified pre-owned sales grew 11.2 percent compared to last February.
Audi's strategy to closely target its rival BMW in the development of new vehicles and related advertising is starting to pay off. While BMW is still number one in luxury-vehicle sales in the United States, Audi posted a better profit margin last year, according to Automotive News. Audi had a 12.1-percent profit margin in 2011 compared to BMW's 11.8-percent margin.
"Audi's done a great job of showing the American market why their cars have the features and performance that luxury customers are looking for," Bedell said. "It makes being an Audi dealer a lot more satisfying, because you know your work will pay off and that customers will be happy with the cars they buy."
