SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (07/22/2013)(readMedia)-- Enjoy a glass of champagne poolside and live music at the 13th annual Race for Choice luncheon and silent auction at Union Gables in Saratoga Springs, Wednesday, August 7, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Exclusive

This event's highly anticipated silent auction of 40 new and vintage hats - perfect to wear at the races or on the town - is a Race for Choice exclusive. No other summer Saratoga event offers this.

Equestrian Artwork

This year's Race for Choice event features new, fabulous equestrian themed pieces of artwork for auction:

• a framed lithograph by Peter Max, iconic artist of the psychedelic 1960s.

• an original framed watercolor by Saratoga native Bob Ewell, whose art transforms everyday backstretch activities into an extraordinary visual experience.

Venue

The stunning gardens and beautiful fountains at Union Gables make this a spectacular venue for this summer as guests enjoy wine, champagne and an elegant luncheon catered by Kim Klopstock's The Lily & The Rose.

Benefit

Race for Choice embraces the celebrated tradition of wearing fashionable hats at the races while raising much-needed funds to support Planned Parenthood Mohawk Hudson's A.C. Riley Center in Saratoga Springs. Each summer, backstretch workers and other track employees visit this health center for medical services including annual exams, cancer screening, birth control, and testing/treatment of sexually transmitted infections to stay healthy.
