BCD's Theater & Film Department Presents "Nerdseye View," an Original One-Act Play

Berkshire Country Day School’s after-school Theater & Film Department presents an original student production entitled, ‘Nerdseye View.’ This one-act play, open to the public, was created by BCD’s 8th and 9th grade theater students. Through improvisational exercises, brainstorming, written work and trial and error, students created characters, situations, relationships and scenes ultimately resulting in a full production of their finished play. ‘Nerdseye View’ is about one episode of a low-rent television show run by a group of Nerds where they attempt to “reclaim” the popular students and uncover the “inner nerd” in each of them. Will they succeed? Does everyone have an inner nerd? ‘Nerdseye View’ is a light-hearted, exaggerated, and insightful look at some of the social dynamics that play out in school hallways everywhere.
