International Democratic Education Conference (IDEC) on Thursday, October 29, 2020

STOCKBRIDGE/LENOX, MA (10/13/2020) (readMedia)-- Berkshire Country Day School (BCD) announces Head of School Jenifer Fox will keynote for the International Democratic Education Conference (IDEC) on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 12:00 pm EST. Her talk, A Child's Search for Meaning: How we can infuse education with meaning and why, will be delivered via Internet conference to a worldwide audience in both English and French.

IDEC meets annually, rotating hosting responsibilities between 8-10 different countries. The gathering draws a few thousand attendees from 30-40 countries who convene to discuss and envision the future of education. This year, the conference will honor the memory of the late Sir Ken Robinson, an author, speaker and educational guru who changed the way the world views our school systems.

Jenifer Fox is an international best-selling author and speaker in her own right, and was highly influenced by Robinson's work, whom she cites in her book Your Child's Strengths (Viking/Penguin). Fox began as Head of School at BCD in 2019. Fox's curriculum development can be found in schools across the country. She holds a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Master of Arts degree from Middlebury College's Bread Loaf School of English and a Master of Education from Harvard University.
