STORM LAKE, IA (07/10/2018) (readMedia)-- Buena Vista University (BVU) celebrated the opening of its newest location in Sioux City on July 10 with long-time partner Western Iowa Tech (WIT) Community College.
The event included remarks from BVU President Joshua D. Merchant and WIT President Terry A. Murrell. An official ribbon cutting also took place in conjunction with the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce.
BVU's Sioux City location will offer degree completion programs in accounting, business education, criminology and criminal justice, educational studies, elementary education, English, special education, human services, history, psychology, and more, with courses starting Aug. 27.
The location will provide classes in a variety of formats, including face-to-face courses in the evening, online courses, and courses delivered via web-based videos. All courses are designed to help working adults earn an affordable bachelor's degree and are offered in eight-week sessions. One hundred percent of Associate of Arts degree credits from WIT transfer to BVU.
