HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA (05/07/2013)(readMedia)-- William Baker Love was recently elected Vice-Chairman of the Interfraternity Council (IFC) at Hampden-Sydney College. The IFC is the governing board of the Greek-letter social fraternities which have existed at the College for over 150 years. In the absence of the Chairman of the IFC, Baker will chair the IFC Judiciary Committee which enforces the regulations of the self-governing fraternity system.
A junior majoring in psychology, Baker is a member of the social fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon and the Lacrosse Club. He is a graduate of Douglas S. Freeman High School and is the son of Dial & Leonard Love of Richmond.
A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked in the top tier of liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the education of young men.
