AIKEN, SC (10/01/2018) Tickets are now on sale for the Band Perry concert, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m., in the University of South Carolina Aiken Convocation Center. Tickets are available at: www.uscatix.com

"We are so excited to host this concert for fans throughout the CSRA," said Karen Edgington, executive director of the convocation center.

The event on the USC Aiken campus was just added to the group's fall tour line-up and will be performed just weeks after the sibling group released its Coordinates EP.

According to a Billboard story by Gary Graff, Coordinates is the Band Perry's largest collection of new material since its 2013 sophomore album Pioneer, which debuted at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart and was certified gold.

The trio recently transitioned from the country music scene. For them, the new sound is really what they've always been about.

"In the oldest days of the Band Perry, before we ever had songs on the radio or any of that, we were an indie power trio -- me on electric guitar, Reid on bass, Neil on drums," Kimberly Perry said in the Billboard article.

"Our mission is to be exactly who we are and be able to put it out in real time," she added.

Graff endorsed the band's new approach in his article.

"Stepping fully away from its country roots, the five-song outing -- written and produced by the band along with regular collaborator Owen Thomas, and executive produced by Rick Rubin -- moves firmly into the contemporary pop realm, with plenty of rich ambience and electronic enhancements, including vintage analog gear," he wrote in Billboard.
