LAKE FOREST, IL (04/04/2012)(readMedia)-- Lake Forest College softball player Nora Logue (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Monday for her performance in six games in the previous seven days.
Logue, a freshman outfielder, had eight base hits in 16 at-bats in the six games combined. She also drew three walks for a .579 on-base percentage and added five runs scored.
Last Monday Logue's second home run of the season was all the Foresters needed in their 1-0 game two victory at the University of Chicago. She also singled in the first inning of the contest, beginning her current five-game hitting streak.
Logue was 2-for-5 with a run scored and a walk in Saturday's doubleheader at #24 Carthage College. She then went 1-for-2 with a run and a walk in the opener and 3-for-4 with two runs scored in game two of a doubleheader split with visiting Robert Morris University on Sunday.
Logue leads the 2012 Foresters with a .385 batting average, .615 slugging percentage, and .442 on-base percentage. She has also scored a team-high 10 runs and added three stolen bases.
