Caleb Baukman of the Kutztown University men's track & field team has been selected to the Google Cloud Academic All-District Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Team, as voted upon by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Baukman graduated summa cum laude earlier this month, earning a Bachelor of Social Work. Throughout his academic career, the Wallingford, Pennsylvania native and 2018-19 KU Male Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year compiled a 3.93 GPA.
In his premiere event, the high jump, Baukman placed a career-best third at the 2019 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Championships to earn All-PSAC honors for the first time. He followed that up with sixth-place finish in the event at the 2019 Outdoor Championships.
Baukman ranks seventh all-time in the high jump on KU's Indoor Top 10 list (6'6.25"/1.99m) and 10th on the Outdoor Top 10 list (6'6.75"/2.00m). He earned All-Atlantic Region honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) at the conclusion of the 2018-19 indoor season.
Academically, Baukman was an eight-time Dean's List honoree and is poised to become a four-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete and three-time D2ADA Academic Achievement Award recipient later this summer.
Baukman moves onto the Google Cloud Academic All-America ballot. First, Second and Third Team Academic All-Americans will be announced June 26.
