Beck Stanley, Secretary/Treasurer of Interfraternity Council at Hampden-Sydney College
HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA (04/09/2012)(readMedia)-- Beckham Allen Stanley was recently elected Secretary/Treasurer of the Interfraternity Council (IFC) at Hampden-Sydney College. The IFC is the governing board of the Greek-letter social fraternities which have existed at the College for over 150 years.
A junior majoring in psychology, Beck served as President of the social fraternity Sigma Nu and is a member of the Pre-Law Society. the French Club, and the Garnet & Grey Society (admissions tour guide). Beck is a graduate of Liberty High School and is the son of Jim & Teresa Stanley of Bedford.
A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked in the top tier of liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the needs of young men.
