AUGUSTA, ME (08/13/2010)(readMedia)-- The Maine Advisory Commission on Women Veterans is hosting various veterans briefings in the state of Maine.

Discussion topics include medical care, disability compensation, nursing home, counseling, support groups, spouse benefits, family support, educational benefits, home loans, service organizations, Maine veterans' home eligibility, mobile outreach clinic/coach, Maine veteran cemetery information, and networking with other women veterans. This is provided to all prior military service women from all components, active, guard and reserve

Dates and locations:

South Paris Maine Veterans' Home - September 17th, 3:00-6:30 pm and September 18th, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Caribou Maine Veterans' Home - October 21st, 3:00-6:30 pm, October 22nd, 3:00-6:30 pm, October 23rd, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
